Prounounce "evidencia"
Since it ends in a vowel, the second to last syllable should be stressed. This is the "ci," but it seems that native spanish speakers emphasize the "den." I'm confused.

Re: Prounounce "evidencia"
Hello!
The division of syllables is as follows:
e-vi-den-cia
so we stress "den", the last syllable is a diptong; when we have a weak vowel: i or u... united with a strong vowel: a, e or o it forms a diptong and becomes one syllable. In some words the diptong is separated indicated by an accent on the week vowel. (i.e. the word día... the i has an accent so we have two syllables dí-a)
