Re: Borrachón vs borrachín

¡Hola! It is very common to use diminutive form of a verb to say the same but nicer. And we usually use the opposite form(augmentative?)for saying something in a derogatory way. But that's not a rule, because we use many different ways of a verb that don't appear in dictionaries. Examples: Casa(hous...

Re: Make a difference to/in

Hola.

Perhaps its that the first example is of people within society making a difference,
rather than a person of given stature affecting society because of that stature.

Re: Possessive adjectives / possessive pronouns

Hola.

In each instance, in the answer you have removed the noun that they modify. They are adjectives.
If I were to say, "Es el mío." then I have a pronoun.
El tuyo está en la sala. = pronoun
I welcome more clarification and correction if I am stating it wrongly.

Hola.

No, lo correcto es ¿A qué hora llegan/vienen los invitados? es incorrecto usar "a".

Re: ¿le o les?

¡Hola!
You're right, it "should" be plural (enseñarles), but there is a strong tendency everywhere in the Spanish-speaking world to use "le" for "les" when the pronoun is redundant.

Re: Pusimos vs pusiéramos

Hola.

Se utiliza "pusimos" (pretérito indefinido) el mismo tiempo verbal que "hicimos". Pusiéramos es un subjuntivo, en tu frase sería. "Podríamos hacer (o haríamos)el proyecto tan pronto como nos pusiéramos de acuerdo en los detalles"

Re: ¿Estuvo o fue?

¡Hola! The problem comes because "fue" means "it was" and "it went", but in this case you can translate it just as "it went". All the questions are correct. This is what they mean more or less: 1)How did your weekend go? 2)How was your weekend? 3)How did the weekend go to you? Althought I would say:...
