Hola.

I'd suggest you change your point of view. Don't rely on these beautiful verbs to make your pick/drop of an/- article, but on the objects that follow them. I can't speak English very well, but I'd say that both languages, Spanish and English, are not too far from each other in this very matter.

It would have been nice if you had provided your own examples. However, here you are mines:
Estarán en casa.
Estarán en una casa rural.
Vienen del trabajo.
Vienen de trabajar.
Vienen de su lugar de trabajo.
Fueron a Cáceres.
Fueron al valle de Jerte, en Cáceres.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could please, please help me as I'm really stuck and need to know the answer to this question for a grammar test:
I know that in most situations, you use the definite article after the following phrases:
Ir a
Venir de
Estar en

However, I've just seen in my book that you don't ALWAYS use the definite article after these phrases.
I was just wondering if anyone could please explain how you tell whether you need the definite article after these phrases please?
Thank you so much!
Also, if any replies could be posted in English, I'd be very grateful
Thank you!
